Sir Julius Caesar was admitted to the Inner Temple in 1580 and received his doctor of laws degree from Oxford in 1584. In the same year he became judge of the admiralty court and master of the chancery. In 1591 Elizabeth I conferred upon Caesar the post of master of requests.
